Obituary for Anna P. Robinson

Anna Pearl Robinson was born on November 5, 1950 to the late Patrick Hollingsworth, Sr. and Pearl (Sumpter) Hollingsworth at home from a midwife on 12 Fluke Street, Savannah, Georgia. She departed this life on July 3, 2019.

At an early age, Anna gave her life to the Lord; she then moved to New York (The Big Apple) where she lived an raised her daughter, Errand Hollingsworth, who preceded her in death. she went on to meet Melvan Robinson (on a blind date) and he married her after 30 days. he kept her laughing and they were married for 48 years. from their union they had four children, Tyjee Robinson who preceded her in death, Shaquana Robinson, Kori Robinson and Quincy Robinson. She was a great mother, friend, companion and an angel in disguise.

Anna Pearl received her education at Alfred E. Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia. Soon after high school, she worked Chase Bank for many years where she retired and then worked for the Board of Education as a dietician.

Anna never forgot a birthday, anniversary, wedding or holiday. When she would enter a room, there was this bright light that surrounded her. "let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in Heaven." - Matthew 5:16 KJV She was a faithful giver and tither.

Anna was a worker for God; her presence was known and felt and never forgotten. During her childhood, she joined Bennett Temple Holiness Unto The Lord under the leadership of Bishop Kelly Solomon Sibert of Savannah, Georgia. After relocating to New York, she attended Temple of Praise. She later moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia and became a member of Blessed Hope Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder George Smith and First Lady Veronica Smith. She was a founding member of Women's Rainbow Group of Martinsburg.

Anna Pearl leaves her cherished memories to: a loving and devoted husband, Melvan Robinson; her children, Shaquana, Kori and Quincy; her grandchildren, Tylic Clarke, Mauráe Kinsey and Tyjee Foy; and grand pets, Munchie and Buster Brown. She also leaves behind: Patrick (Sylvia) Hollingsworth, Ny Lavon (Daphne) Hollingsworth and Tony (Beverly) Grant all living in Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Deloris (Charles) Walcott and Janette Davis of Brooklyn, New York; in-laws, Marie Richardson, Barbara Robinson, John Robinson, Mary Jones and Kristine Smith; along with godchildren, nieces, nephews and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
