Obituary for Charles Williams

Charles Williams was born on May 1st 1966 to the late Roslyn Williams and Nick Spann. Charles was raised in Newark, New Jersey where he attended and graduated from Barringer High School. He then became a Muslim and changed his name to Fuquan Ali. In his early twenties he worked for the city of East Orange. He also dedicated several years to the Association Humane Society

In 1989 Charles met his beloved Ruth. They shared 34 years together and when you saw one you saw the other. They also shared between them nine children. Charles loved helping family and friends out, he would always come by and help you move furniture or patch a hole. He loved spending time with his children and he loved spending time with his grandchildren to whom he was known as “Pop Pop”.

Charles was preceded in death by two sons, the late Robert fields and Tysheem Williams; and his late daughter, Shakira Williams.

Charles leaves to mourn: two daughters, Zakiyyah and Shakima Fields; four sons, Shawn and Anthony Bodison and Andre and Warren Fields; two sons-in-law, Cliff and Omar; 13 grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
