Betty Lou Flowers entered into Eternal Rest on July 11, 2019 at East Orange General Hospital, East Orange, NJ.

Betty was the daughter of the late Thomas Lowery and Lillie Mae Lockhart. She was born February 14, 1939. She attended Petersburg High School in Pageland, SC.

Betty worked at Hastreiter Jewelry Company for twenty years. She was later employed by Saint Barnabas Hospital for ten years.

Betty was married to Jimmie Flowers for 44 years. She loved cooking and being around family.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Tyrone Flowers (Verna), Dannie Flowers (Alnisa) and Reggie Flowers (Carolin); her siblings, Jimmie Lowery (Lois), Sandra Thompson (Becky), Douglas Thompson, Lynda Thompson Rogers and Jeffrey Thompson; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by: her son, Michael Terrell Flowers; and her siblings, Thomas Lowery Jr., Albert Lowery and Patricia Flowers.
