Obituary for Sharon R. Wallace

Sharon R. Wallace, daughter of Jonas (Janice) Brown and the late William H. Brown, was born October 23, 1948. She departed this life on Wednesday May 30, 2018.

Sharon was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She graduated in 1967 from Barringer High School in Newark. She began her employment at the local Food Town. On October 24, 1970 she married the love her life, the late Wilson Wallace.

Throughout her life Sharon held various positions. She worked at the Hall of Records and in the political arena with Donald Tucker. She also assisted at a homeless shelter for abused youth. Lastly, she worked with a Food Service Company preparing meals for the community.

In addition to her father and husband, she was predeceased by one sibling Clyde G. Brown. She leaves to cherish fond memory; four children, Charity (Chady/CeCe) Brown of Elizabeth NJ, Bryant (KeKe) Brown of Seattle WA, Chantel (Diata) Wallace of Philadelphia PA, Janice (Zahidah) Ligons of Orange NJ; step-daughter Rosa Ligons of Newark NJ; sister Linda Scott, nephew Lewis (Bug) Scott, nine grandchildren, one great niece and one great nephew, other beloved relatives and many dear friends.
