Obituary for George Williams

George Williams, son of James A. Williams Sr. and the Late Beatrice Williams, was born on March 11, 1959 in Newark, NJ. He departed this life on June 27, 2018 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.

George was educated in the Newark Public School System. He graduated from Barringer High School. He was baptized at an early age at Humanity Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev. S.W. Simmons.

George began working at ASCO in Parsippany, NJ for several years. He worked various jobs before working for Tucker Trucking Co. until they relocated in 2013.

George was very quiet and loved to walk. He would have made a good mail carrier. Wherever he had to go he would walk, regardless of the distance and the weather. He also loved watching old TV shows and movies.

George was the beloved son of James A. Williams Sr. and the Late Beatrice Williams, loving brother of Gail Gray-Sanders (Charles), Barbara Martin (Robert), James Williams Jr., Betty, Susan, Charles, Judy, Christine, Wilton and the Late Benjamin Williams and Mary Jones-Lane. George also leaves behind his longtime companion Cathy Chambers, brother-in-law Adolph Lane, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
